Dale was blessed with wonderful Christian parents. He was homeschooled as the youngest of five in Stillwater, MN. But at the age of 16 years old, his eyes were fully open to Jesus as he was radically discipled by his youth pastor. He was a sinner and yet eternally loved by God in Christ. He was moved to tears with a joy greater than anything he had ever known. Immediately, Dale felt a burning desire to help people know Jesus. 

He served in the youth group and worship at that church. After graduating, he studied the Bible at Bethlehem College & Seminary. In 2011, a freshman in college, he married his junior-high sweetheart, Hannah Gruber. He’s crazy about her! In college, they joined a church plant with a big vision for all-of-life discipleship and Jesus. Dale eventually became a lay elder. After that church dissolved, they joined APC, and Dale eventually joined as a lay pastor. They love the church and praise God for his grace!

Their family has grown since 2018 when they welcomed their oldest daughter, Hayden. They mourned a miscarriage between Hayden and their second daughter, Aurelia, in 2020. And in 2022 God faithfully brought another daughter, Juniper, to their family. Their kids are a gift from God and have so much fun with them. Hannah is a rockstar at home with them every day!

During the day, Dale works full-time for a manufacturing company. His role at APC involves chairing the elder team and serving as an MC and DNA leader. He strives to help the church with organization so that our efforts can be most powerfully focused on loving God and loving people. His greatest desire is for people to know and delight in Jesus.
