Michael Patterson

Michael grew up in a Christian home where faith was lived out in vibrant and tangible ways. His parents modeled what it meant to depend deeply on God, to live sacrificially, and to pray continually. Yet even in that environment, he often felt that something was missing. Over time, that tension created distance between what he was taught and what he truly believed.

A life of rebellion soon followed. By age twelve, Michael was heavily influenced by hip-hop culture and began to live out the lifestyle he heard in songs and saw in videos. Sin and spiritual blindness marked those years, until at twenty-six, God used his father’s simple invitation to a Bible study to begin a deeper work in his heart. Week after week, the truth of God’s Word pierced him, and for the first time, the gospel of Jesus Christ became gloriously clear.

After becoming a husband and father, Michael moved to Minneapolis to grow in those callings and to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Theology at Bethlehem College and Seminary, from which he graduated in 2020. He and his family joined All Peoples Church that same year, and in October 2025, he officially joined the pastoral team. Michael has a strong passion for discipling men, strengthening households, and counseling others through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Michael and his wife, Jossie, live in North Minneapolis with their four children: Levi, Josiah, Natalia, and Elliyah. He currently serves as IT Director at Hope Academy, a Christian private school in South Minneapolis.
